Quick one!

This might have been my quickest turnaround project in university. Simple project, to just produce a series of typography based photos for any art period. I chose Bauhaus, because at the time I was fascinated with it.

Looking back, it’s unfair to true Bauhaus artists to call this Bauhaus or even typography. But I also love them! They’re not peak design but they have such a great personality and remind me of a time when I was really falling in love with graphic design for the first time. Color was, and still is, something I struggle with so it’s nice to look back and see a project where I was unafraid to just throw colors together because I enjoyed them, and ruin a layout with background text and random designs just because I loved it. It’s such a poor example of what good design is, yet such a great example of what fun design can be.

And that’s all I need design to be. Fun, effective, and full of personality. Designers waste too much time nowadays trying to be perfect and keep up with trends and design ‘correctly.’ I just want to have fun and reach people and show them that design can be fun, and effective, and unique, all at the same time.
