My university was in downtown Providence, RI. Prior to being in university I didn’t spend much time downtown. But after a few years there I started to see just how bad the homelessness problem is. I always knew it was bad, but seeing is believing. And so I decided that my next project would be focused on some type of charity work. At the time, there weren’t a lot of organizations that helped connect and organize multiple charities (a problem that has since improved significantly!) and so I decided to create just that - Charity Mingle. An organization that focused on combining and organizing the efforts of multiple charities into one.

This project was fairly early in my design career, so it serves as a good benchmark sort of to see how much my design prowess has evolved over the years. I actually spent a few days revamping this one prior to uploading it, but ultimately decided to stick with the original. I do like it - although there is certainly room for improvement. But I think there is value in seeing older work from designers, so I think moving forward I’ll try to edit my college work as little as possible and let it show my growth over the years.

(Also, the facts about homelessness were accurate as of when I made this project. They’re most likely not accurate anymore, don’t use these numbers for anything)
